The White House was abuzz after President Donald Trump announced the United States and China signed a trade deal on Wednesday. Speaking at the “One Big Beautiful Bill” event, Trump stated, “We just signed with China yesterday… We’re starting to open up China. Things that never really could have happened.” He emphasized this deal would unlock unprecedented opportunities.
Trump also hinted at another significant agreement on the horizon, stating, “We have one coming up, maybe with India, a very big one, where we’re going to open up India.”
He then highlighted the $88 billion collected from tariffs, calling it “a beautiful thing.” Turning to domestic policy, Trump lauded the Republican tax and spending cuts legislation, dubbing it the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” He declared it “one of the most important pieces of legislation in the history” of the U.S., designed to “secure our borders, turbocharge our economy and bring back the American dream.”
In essence, Trump’s address painted a picture of an America ascendant, both economically through new trade deals and domestically through his signature legislation.
